| The Air Chime Model AC100 is a new type of door chime with a innovative approach to resolving the age old problem of battery replacement. With a volume controlled DING DONG tone and adjustable sensitivity for even the most sensitive retail stores, the AIR CHIME (MODEL AC100) is the only choice for those who do not wish to change batteries. It will take only a few minutes to install, simply plug it in to any standard plug, adjust the sensitivity and you are ready to go. |
- The Air Chime is designed to work when air pressure change is detected by the opening of an exterior door within a 3,000 square foot facility.
- The unit plugs into any wall outlet and allows for the chime box to be hung in a vertical or horizontal position.
- This unit does not need to be near the door being protected.
- You may even place this unit in other rooms with a closed door in-between.

INSTALLATION:
- The Air Chime is designed to work when low frequency sound waves are detected by the pressure change that occurs during the opening of an exterior door within a room of 3,000 square feet. The unit plugs into any wall outlet and allows for the chime box to be hung in a vertical or horizontal position. This unit does not need to be near the door being protected. You may even place this unit in other rooms with a closed door in-between.
- It is very important that all exterior windows and doors be closed for proper operation. This allows the environment within the building to stabilize so that when a door is opened the unit detects sound waves through pressure change and sounds "Ding Dong"
- On the back of the Air Chime box are two thumb screw knobs. The SENSITIVITY knob allows you to set the maximum (clockwise) detection, while (counterclockwise) is the lowest setting. The VOLUME control knob operates the sound level. IT IS MOST IMPORTANT THAT THE SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT BE USED IN SMALL INCREMENTS TO ACHIEVE DESIRED RESULTS. START AT THE MAXIMUM LEVEL AND LISTEN FOR THE FIRST FALSE SIGNAL, AT THIS POINT TURN DOWN SENSITIVITY ABOUT 1/8", WHEN NEXT FALSE SIGNAL OCCURS TURN DOWN ANOTHER 1/8", KEEP ADJUSTING SENSITIVITY IN THIS MANNER UNTIL NO FALSE SIGNALS OCCUR.
- At the maximum sensitivity setting you may experience false alarms. This may be due to trucks passing by creating a wind blast or strong winds from bad weather. loud noises that occur near the unit, bathroom door opening and closing, or possibly multi-tenant complexes that are separated only by a wall and share a common drop ceiling area. Your neighbor may set off your unit when their doors are opened or closed. It is important to start at the highest sensitivity setting and slowly reduce this level until you reach a balanced setting that works for your facility. THE MICROPHONE OPENING LOCATED ON SIDE OF CHIME BOX SHOULD BE LEFT EXPOSED SO THAT MICROPHONE CAN DETECT PROPERLY.
- Two terminal screws on the back of the Air Chime allow you to add many 12VDC accessories. This would include: buzzer, counter, siren, etc. Remember, that these two terminal screws are polarity sensitive. Any items added that don't work at first may need to have the wires reversed to operate properly.
